How to apply for this Scholarship

Send or have your high school send an official transcript of your academic record
Please supply 3 letters of recommendation, 1 from teacher or counselor familiar with your work,
another from your Monterey Pony Baseball Softball Inc. coach and
the third from someone who knows you other than a relative.
Mail application to address on front sheet attention Scholarship Committee
(We recommend certified mail with return receipt.)

Scholarship Requirements

Played at least 1 or more years in Monterey Pony Baseball Softball league.
Graduate with a 3.0 grade average or better.
Scholarship amount is to be $1,000 to one male and one female student each year.
Applicants must be graduating seniors at time of application or have graduated from high school the previous year.
Admitted as a full time student into an accredited four year college or university.
This scholarship is non renewable and may be used for the first year of college only.
This scholarship can only be paid to a college or university and not to an individual.
Monterey Pony Baseball Softball Inc. shall have the right to reject any or all of the scholarship
applications and the decision of the scholarship board shall be final.

In order to receive your Scholarship Award, you must enroll as a full time student in an accredited four year college or university during the next academic year. This award is non renewable and is for your first year of college only.

To claim your award, after you register for your classes, ask the Registrar for an official form stating that you have registered as a full time student. Then as soon as possible mail the original college form and this Student Claim Form to the above address. We will then forward the scholarship check to the college or university to be applied against your tuition and living expenses. The check can only be sent to the college. It cannot be paid directly to you or any other individual.
